This is the 2nd item that I will continue to use from this brand, but I must say, not on an everyday basis as I have been. I have combo/sensitive skin, and although it irritates my skin to a very small degree, it's very effective at removing make up and every day irritants. It does leave my skin feeling dry and tight though, so I must moisturize at least twice after it's use. It's also been very effective for me when I used it to clean my make up brushes.
Pros:Removes dirt, oil, make up effectively Cons:Too harsh for sensitive skin, so be very careful when trying it for the first time.
This is one of two items that I will continue to use from this line. It does well with make up removal and leaving my skin feeling refreshed. I have combo/sensitive skin, and it's not too harsh on my skin.
Pros:Works well with combo/sensitive skin, removes make up well Cons:none at this time
I can NOT begin to describe what this has done to my skin!! I am soooooo disappointed with the products I purchased. I've been waiting a long time to finally be able to afford the more widely used and talked about brands, but now that I have it, I don't want it. This moisturizing gel was supposed to be perfect for my skin type, which is combo/sensitive, but so far, it's given my skin results that I didn't even have when I was a teenager! My skin has never looked this horrible, and I'm frantically working with natural products to get my skin back on track. I'm so disappointed and horrified by this product!!
Pros:Convenient size bottle, does moisturize Cons:Clogs pores, overcompensates for the oily portions of the skin
I was pretty impressed with this lotion. Moisturizes without being too shiny. It's perfect for me in the summer, but sometimes in the winter I need something more therapeutic.
This scrub is perfect for oilier skins. It's a heavy duty scrub, but it isn't harsh. It leave a great tingly feeling after I use it. This is the first non-apricot based exfoliater I've used, and I love it!! It isn't for dry, senstive skins, but it says so on the package!
Pros:Good price; love the upside down tube. Cons:None!
I am a huge fan of SCB, but they have changed the formula over the years. It used to be chemical free, now it is a mix of chemical/chemical free.
I actually like this better because at SPF 40, a zinc oxide sunscreen would not only make an oily break out more, but would be very light reflective. I splotched SCB SPF 15 on my husbands nose and he said it made it "glow" lol, so I think this change is a good one.
I love this under makeup and also if I want something that will protect right away (due to the chem free sunscreen) this is great for that!
I have purchased SCB for the last 17 years and it will always be a favorite!
I love to use this soap in the summer. This keeps the oil on my face in check. I do not use this during the winter because it can be drying. Although it is expensive, you get a huge bar of soap.
Pros:Great cleanser for the summer months Cons:Expensive
This truly is a wonderful sunscreen. It's titanium dioxide-based and this is considered a 'physical' sunscreen, probably suitable for sensitive skinned individuals. It's not tinted per se but it has a fleshy color to it that seems to slightly 'erase' my imperfections, making it easier for foundation coverage.
It feels very light and comfortable on the face. I am extremely picky with sunscreens and find even the ones that claim to be 'non-oily' very greasy. But this truly was matte, sheer and just comfortable in general.
The packaging is great, it has several antioxidants and its packaging ensures the stability of the ingredients. The reason I gave the packaging rate 4 stars is because I wish it was a little bigger!
I also think the price is very reasonable. Keep in mind that this is a physical sunscreen which does not have a high PPD. So if you are looking for something with a really high PPD, this might not be for you. Otherwise, for all the reasons mentioned above, it's wonderful! I would definitely repurchase!
Pros:Sheer, matte, great ingredients, hypoallergenic. Cons:Small tube
I really like this moisturizer. Its my first highend moisturizer and i really think it works. Its been keeping my skin hydrated, i really recommend it!
Pros:Moisturizes we.. Cons:A bit pricey for the size.
Oh my gosh! I loveeee this product! I've been using it for the past few weeks and my skin has never looked better!! I heard they've got a HUGE contest going on right now! 10,000 people will get to try the whole system free! and someone will even end up winning a day of celeb pampering with Emmy Rossum! I found out about this on one of my favorite blogs, MakeupBag! you sign up at alloy.com/clinique Cross your fingers and sign up!
You've probably heard quite a few people complain about how drying the toner is from Clinique...and with good reason. In my experience, the toner seems to be pretty harsh and uncomfortable rather than helping. Depending on your skin type, you can either get Formula 1-Very dry skin, Formula 2-Normal, Formula 3-Combination, or Formula 4-Oily. It may work for some, it may not. But the main problem it faces is how overdrying it is on your skin or even irritate it. The packaging is PLASTIC and depending on the formula, the toner has a different color.
Form. 1: Aquamarine-green
Form. 2: Purple
Form. 3: Pink
Form. 4: Blue
Pros:.....It works for some, usually people with acne/breakout prone skin. Cons:Too overdrying and harsh.
This is a really good product for combo skin. It makes my skin feels soft and does not break me out. My skin has actually cleared up alot since I started using this. I love this stuff.
This stuff does what it says at least for me. I wouldn't say I have dark circles, but it has improved the appearance of my eyes. The puffy tired look, isn't as apparent even when first wake up. It does have a nice silky texture to it and I only need a touch of it morning and night!
Pros:It does help with the puffy tired look! Noticable results overnight! Cons:Pricey!
I like it overall, but I have sensitive eyes and if you have waterproof eye makeup on or just a lot of dark makeup you have to swipe several times and that usually makes a little of the solution get in my eyes (even swiping in one direction), which stings my eyes slightly. The stingy does go away as soon as you rinse it off though. Doesn't leave eyes red or the skin dry. I use Clinque's All About Eyes after I cleanse though.
Pros:It does remove all eye makeup!! Cons:Slight irritation for sensitive eyes.
I have the Very Dry to Dry version of this moisturizer and I love it! It's not heavy, but it is moisturizing. I use it day and night, underneath sunscreen during the day and under vaseline at night. It's already made a huge difference in my skin and I've been using it less than a month so far. My skin looks and feels more like it did when I was in high school, which is a good thing. In HS, I was able to sleep in my makeup and not break out. I've fallen asleep in my makeup way too many times to count and I've only ended up with one pimple. This moisturizer is also helping to fade my dark pink marks from old blemishes, the curse of my fair skin.
The packaging is an opaque tube, which is great because it keeps the antioxidants stable. This is the first moisturizer that I love enough to recommend without hesitation. I don't even mind haivng to do a separate sunscreen step in the morning because it's just been that good for my skin.
Pros:No fragrance, soothing, noticeable difference without irritation in a short period of time, packaging keeps product stable Cons:Not quite moisturizing enough for nighttime
Count me among those who LOVE this product. I first "found" it at the Clinique counter while waiting in line (bonus week). I am in my late 50s and long ago had to give up using mineral makeup because of my ever enlarging pores. This product is so lightweight and silky and does a great job in minimizing pores. It is a fabulous primer for makeup. I only wish it came in a larger size. It is quite expensive so I a alternate with other less expensive primer products I have acquired.
